The text is well laid out, and logical. Students are exposed to topics of increasing complexity, as the book follows a typical progression pattern of x-ray based imaging, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine modalities. Each modality follows a similar structure, and a good explanation of the physics principles is provided to explain core concepts. The text is a very good addition to any radiographic and radiological teaching and learning programme. Although written with the American audience, the vast majority of the material is applicable to the UK, though some adaptation would be needed to reflect the applicability of IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR 2017 to UK practice.
